According to the Daily Star, former Foxes midfielder Neil Lennon is the current favourite for the job. However, the board have a different idea.

The Star suggest that Hiddink’s appointment would help to improve the image and reputation of the club, following the sex scandal that led to the sacking of three of the squad, one of which was the son of the former manager, who left his post earlier in the week.

Hiddink is also currently out a job, having left the Netherlands national side this past week. And he would certainly have the kind of pedigree that the Premier League side will be looking for, if they want an experienced man who has seen everything football has to offer.

Despite the 68-year-old’s extensive managerial record, he only has a small amount of experience in the English game, having taken the Chelsea job on a short-term basis in 2009. Although the Blues’ league form under Luis Felipe Scolari had taken them out of the title race before he arrived, they did go on to win the FA Cup. They lost just once in Hiddink’s 23 games at the helm.
