Officials from Liverpool have reportedly flown out to Barcelona to complete a deal that would see young winger Adama Traore move to Anfield, according to the Metro.
The Metro suggest that the Spain youth international will move to Anfield on an initial season-long loan deal, with a permanent switch set to be agreed next summer.
Traore has predominantly been used by the Catalan giants’ B side that last season played in the second division of Spanish football. And while he is yet to make a particularly impressive impact for the first-team, he has represented Luis Enrique’s side in the top flight, and the Champions League, as well as scoring his first goal for the main squad during a Copa Del Rey clash in the last campaign.
He would become the latest exciting name to arrive through the Anfield door this summer, if he was to complete a deal. The Reds have already signed Roberto Firmino, while Nathaniel Clyne is one of the most positive defenders in the Premier League.
Traore is likely to join Joe Gomez as the kind of signing where big things are expected.
