Manchester United appear to have missed out on Barcelona youngster Adama Traore, after the winger reportedly decided that he wished to become the latest player to switch the Nou Camp for the Britannia Stadium.
According to the Daily
The Express suggest that United were not the only Premier League side taking a look at the Spain youth international, with both Southampton and Everton also keen, as well as plenty of sides from around the continent.
However, Mark Hughes is confident that his relationship with the Catalan giants may help them get a deal across the line, having spent two years with the La Liga side during his playing career.
Traore – better known by his first name – has made just one appearance for the first-team in the top flight, replacing Neymar against Granada in 2013. However, he has enjoyed plenty more opportunities for the second team.
