Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini refused to deny that his team could make an approach for Manchester United target Sergio Ramos this summer, the Daily
Ramos has been a long standing object of desire for the Red Devils, and are hoping to include him in the deal that would see David de Gea move in the opposite direction (via BBC).
Pellegrini has previously worked with the World Cup winner during his own time in charge in the Spanish capital and The Express believes that he could be tempted to reunite with him at The Etihad.
Both Real and City are currently on pre-season tours in Australia, and pictures have recently emerged of Pellegrini chatting with counterpart Rafa Benitez.
When asked about the possibility of making a move for the player, the Chilean was cautious as to not address the stories linking him with Ramos, but his comments didn’t exactly deny anything either.
“I don’t want to talk about rumours, about names. Because that’s just speculation,” he said.
“I don’t talk about rumours, about names. We know the players that we want.
“For the moment we just have [Fabian] Delph, [Raheem] Sterling and Patrick Roberts.
“We’ll see, in the future maybe will arrive more players. I can’t talk with you about names because I’m not sure who will come.”
However, reports in talkSPORT on Sunday said that Ramos has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford this summer.
