OUCH! Jose Mourinho hilariously hits back at claims from Rafa Benitez’s wife, and brands the Real Madrid boss FAT

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has already provided football supporters with one of the moments of the season, after hilariously hitting back at claims made by the wife of Rafael Benitez, that the current Real Madrid boss has been forced to clear up the mess that the Special One made at his former clubs.

According to the Daily Express, Mrs Benitez suggested that her husband had to pick up the pieces of what Mourinho left, having followed the Portuguese at Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid. But, as the Blues boss rightly pointed out, the former Liverpool manager only took the job straight after him on one occasion, and that did not end well, the Express report.

“The lady is a bit confused, with all respect. I’m not laughing, because her husband went to Chelsea to replace Roberto Di Matteo and he went to Real Madrid and replaced Carlo Ancelotti,” he said.

“The only club where her husband replaces me was at Inter Milan, where in six months he destroyed the best team in Europe at the time,” he added.

And Mourinho deliciously stuck the knife in even further by suggesting that his wife should be concentrating on other priorities, namely the weight of her husband, according to the Express.

“And for her also to think about me and to speak about me, I think the lady needs to occupy her time and if she takes care of her husband’s diet she will have less time to speak about me,” Mourinho suggested.

It is unsurprising that Mourinho has responded after someone attempted to assassinate his character. As the Chelsea boss pointed out, there was a considerable gap between their respective times at Stamford Bridge, while Carlo Ancelotti’s stint separated the two at the Bernabeu, during which time, the Italian would go on to win the Champions League.
