(Video) Raheem Sterling scores TWO MINUTES into Manchester City debut

Raheem Sterling took just two minutes to open his Manchester City account, as he scored the opening goal during Manuel Pellegrini’s men’s International Champions Cup friendly clash with Roma.

The England international moved to the Etihad last week for £49m (via BBC Sport), so may have felt the pressure to justify the large fee as soon as possible. Luckily, he did not fail when the opportunity arose.

The Serie A side were punished for holding a very high line, as a long ball allowed the former Liverpool man to use his rapid pace to get away from his marker. He then calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner, showing the composure that Reds fans will argue they didn’t see often during the last campaign.

City supporters will be hoping he can have a similar impact once the Premier League season begins.
