With just a week to go in the transfer window, Arsenal fans are growing ever more impatient at Arsene Wenger’s reluctance to conduct his transfer business earlier rather than leave it late once again.
However, in a report in the Metro,
The former England captain has endured a difficult start to the campaign so far, and was substituted at half time during the defeat to Manchester City and being sent off during last weekend’s victory over West Bromwich Albion.
And the much divisive Morgan, who holds shares in The Gunners, has taken to Twitter to reveal that he tried – and failed – to convince the 34-year-old centre-back to follow former teammate Petr Cech to The Emirates this summer.
Spent 20 minutes trying to persuade John Terry to join Arsenal last night, using the 'Jose don't love you any more' line.
I failed.
