Lizarazo claimed that the Frenchman was set to arrive in London for a medical.
Arsene Wenger is also reportedly lining up a move to sign World Cup winning pair Mario Gotze and Julian Draxler, according to the Metro.
The pair have both been linked with Juventus, but could yet end up at the Emirates.
However, Wenger has tried to quash the suggestion that the Gunners need to spend following their humbling defeat to West Ham, the Daily Mirror report.
He claimed that only if a special player becomes available, will they act.
“I can only repeat what I’ve said: if an exceptional solution turns up, we will do it,” he insisted.
Hector Bellerin has ended speculation linking him with a return to Barcelona by insisting that he is happy with the Premier League side, the Metro report.
The defender explained that he is glad he made the move to England.
“Moving to London was a really hard thing for me, but I had a lot of support and I’m really happy that I made that step and came here,” he explained.
Finally, Alexis Sanchez has been trying to set an example to his teammates after he stayed behind following their defeat to West Ham to do some fitness work, the Metro report.
