Arsenal target interested in leaving Bayern Munich this summer

Bayern Munich playmaker and reported Arsenal target Mario Gotze is reportedly interested in leaving the Allianz Arena this summer, according to the Metro.

The 23-year-old has fallen out with manager Pep Guardiola, the Metro claim, and is thus trying to engineer a move away from the Bavarian outfit during this window.

Arsene Wenger is keen on the attacking midfielder, and may decide that this is the perfect opportunity to try and bring him to the Emirates. The Metro suggest that the Gunners are lining up a £49.6m move for the World Cup winner, although it remains to be seen whether that is actually the case.

This could be well the best time to go after Gotze. The former Borussia Dortmund man is now at an age where his career should start to flourish, and yet, the problems he is currently enduring with his manager may mean that he is available for less than his actual value as Guardiola attempts to get him off the books.
