Chelsea midfielder set to complete Juventus move imminently

Chelsea midfielder Ramires is set to arrive in Italy to complete the formalities of his move to Juventus, according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, the Daily Express report.

The 28-year-old is now on the periphery of Jose Mourinho’s squad, having played no part in the opening day draw with Swansea City, and thus, may be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge for the Serie A side (via Express).

While the Blues boast a small squad in comparison with some of their rivals, their midfield is packed with some fantastic talent, leaving the Brazilian with a very slim chance of being able to break into the side on a regular basis. He can play a utility role, and fill in when needed, but that seems unlikely to satisfy someone who should be enjoying the peak years of his career.

Meanwhile, at Juventus Stadium, there are plenty of vacancies in the middle of the park following the departures of Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal.

Once the Ramires deal is in the bag, Massimiliano Allegri is set to switch his attention to Arsenal target Julian Draxler, the Express report.
