Former Arsenal midfielder’s agent denies Inter Milan move on cards, but hints at possible exit

The agent of Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has quashed speculation linking the Frenchman with a summer move to Inter Milan, but did concede that he could be leaving the Etihad, the Daily Star report.

Roberto Mancini is looking for a new man in the middle of the park following the imminent sale of Mateo Kovacic to Real Madrid, and the Star suggested that a reunion with the 28-year-old – with whom he worked with during his time at the helm at Eastlands – had been on the cards.

However, Jean-Pierre Bernes has denied that a switch to San Siro could happen. Although, he offered a vague response when asked about whether he will still be on the move this summer (via Star).

“There’s absolutely nothing concrete with the Nerazzurri,” he said.

“Will he stay in Manchester? I can say that there’s nothing with Inter,” he added.

If the first two games of the season are anything to go by, the 28-year-old may be considering whether he wishes to remain as part of Manuel Pellegrini’s side. Although he has played in both of the Citizens’ victories so far this campaign, he has begun each game on the bench, suggesting that opportunities to start could be at a premium this year.
