Man United boss reveals he is to focus on Gareth Bale transfer after Pedro miss

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has apparently told his closest lieutenants that Gareth Bale will become his number one transfer target for the remainder of the transfer window, according to the Metro.

United are still desperately searching for reinforcements to their attacking line, having disposed of the majority of their first team forwards over the summer. The club have been linked with a number of top class forwards recently, most notably Pedro, who joined Chelsea on Thursday afternoon instead.

A report in the Daily Mail claims that the Dutchman believes he can convince Bale to make the move to Old Trafford from the Bernabeu at some point over the next ten days.

And though United are ready to go all out for the Welsh international, their chances of landing his signature remain slim as Rafa Benitez is still hoping to build the team around him.

Elsewhere United are still reportedly keeping an eye on Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller as well as Southampton’s Sadio Mane.
