Man United prepared to wait right until the deadline to seal £95m Gareth Bale deal

Manchester United are prepared to wait right until the final few days of the window before sealing a stunning move for Gareth Bale, the Metro report.

The 26-year-old has consistently stated that he plans to remain at Real Madrid (via Metro) despite a difficult season that saw him singled out as the scapegoat for Los Blancos’ inability to win a trophy. However, the Metro claims that the Red Devils are hoping that he may change his mind if the pressure from supporters continues.

And it appears that that could be the case, after Marca revealed that the fans had left him out of their favoured starting line-up for the opening game of the campaign.

That news is likely to have alerted United, and the Metro claim Louis van Gaal is willing to offer a world record fee of £95m for the former Tottenham man.

While Bale did not enjoy the best time last season – especially in comparison with his incredible first campaign – he could certainly be the answer to their problems in front of goal.
