Man United to follow up Pedro deal with La Liga goal machine to front new look strike force

Manchester United are said to be preparing an offer for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema after targeting him to spearhead their new look side, according to the Metro.

The Metro claims that United are close to bringing in Barcelona winger Pedro, with a deal set to go through at some point in the next 48 hours.

And now, reports in the Daily Mirror claim that the Red Devils are ready to return to Spain to make a raid for Real Madrid frontman, Karim Benzema. United are still in the market for a world class striker, and they will now step up their efforts to bring in the France international.

Premier League rivals Arsenal have also been linked with a move for his signature, and are thought to have made two separate approaches for him already this summer (via Metro), but United have some serious cash to play with before the end of the transfer window.

Louis van Gaal is now hopeful of being able to land the 27-year-old in a bid to freshen up his new look squad and lead the line.
