Man United to let Adnan Januzaj leave on loan with Southampton and Borussia Dortmund interested

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal may be willing to let Adnan Januzaj leave Old Trafford on loan this summer, after informing the player that he cannot provide him with the first-team football he craves, the Daily Express report.

Despite enduring a challenging year last season under the Dutchman, the 20-year-old staked his claim for a place in the side by bagging the only goal as the Red Devils won their second game of the season against Aston Villa. Nevertheless, the Express report that van Gaal is not willing to guarantee the Belgium international a place in the side.

That has apparently left the door open for a loan move. The Express report that Ronald Koeman’s Southampton and Borussia Dortmund are leading the charge for his signature, while Everton, Sunderland, and Italian giants Juventus are also lurking.

Joining either of the front-runners – or Juventus, should they become more involved in the race – would surely be a good move for his career at this stage. Both can offer the pressure of being expected to compete for a place in the top half of their respective divisions, and both can offer continental football.
