Manchester United’s forgotten man Adnan Januzaj has been given the chance to rebuild his stagnating career, the Metro
Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat wants to bring the 20-year-old to the Stadium of Light, after the Metro reported that the Black Cats offered to take the winger on loan for the season.
The Belgian has struggled to make an impact under current Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal, having failed to find the back of the net since the Dutchman arrived at Old Trafford ahead of last season. He also failed to register an assist from his 18 Premier League appearances.
However, he started just seven games in the top flight during the last campaign, so stands a much greater chance of getting some game time at their Premier League rivals.
Sunderland know better than most what Januzaj is capable of. Arguably the one thing that David Moyes got right during his brief tenure, the skilful winger burst onto the scene with a scintillating performance against the Black Cats, as he scored both goals to help United come from a goal down to win 2-1 in October 2013.
Advocaat will be hoping that he can find that player, rather than the one that looked scared to try anything last year.
