Manchester United winger completes Borussia Dortmund loan move

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed on their official website that they have completed a deal to sign Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj on a season-long loan.

Despite barely featuring during Louis van Gaal’s first season at Old Trafford, the 20-year-old’s departure is something of a surprise, even if it is just on a temporary basis.

The Belgian has made four appearances in all competitions so far this campaign, and while he has not quite made the impact that he did when he burst onto the scene with a superb brace against Sunderland a couple of years ago, he has shown glimpses of real potential.

He bagged the only goal of the game during his first appearance of the term against Aston Villa, and went on to feature in both legs of their Champions League play-off tie with Club Brugge.

Meanwhile, he joins a Dortmund side that have bounced back from a difficult season last year, that culminated in the resignation of their maverick manager Jurgen Klopp, and now top the Bundesliga with three wins from three.
