Pedro reconsiders Man United move after his treatment of former Barca teammate

After apparently agreeing personal terms with the Red Devils, Barcelona star Pedro is now reportedly reconsidering his move to Manchester United this summer, according to The Guardian.

This is allegedly down to how manager Louis van Gaal has treated his former teammate Victor Valdes, and now has serious doubts about plying his trade under the Dutch tactician.

Pedro and Valdes have won a host of honours next to each other both with Barcelona and with the Spanish national team, and he is now said to be disillusioned over the deal and plying his own trade under van Gaal.

Valdes has featured just twice for United since signing for the club back in January, and has had to consign himself to playing reserve team football.

Things took a sour turn this summer, though, when van Gaal claimed that Valdes didn’t fit into his philosophy before completely freezing him out of the squad during pre-season.

Valdes has not been handed a squad number for the season ahead, and now appears to be United’s fifth choice ‘keeper.

Barcelona legend Hristo Stoichkov, who last week dubbed Van Gaal a ‘bad person’, is also believed to have advised Pedro against making the move.
