Manchester United reportedly agree fee for Pedro as Angel Di Maria’s exit confirmed

Manchester United are reportedly set to celebrate the sale of Angel Di Maria (via Sky Sports), by completing the signing of Barcelona winger Pedro, according to the Daily Star.

The Daily Express previously reported that according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, the only stumbling block preventing a move for the 28-year-old was the fact that the two clubs had yet to agree a fee. However, the Star suggest that has now been sorted.

The Red Devils have agreed to pay the Catalan giants £18.1m up front, with another £4.2m coming in bonus payments (via Goal.com).

With the Express previously suggesting that personal terms had already been agreed, it appears that the deal is ready to be completed.

While Pedro has a big reputation – having played at the Nou Camp for his entire career to date – and thus, a lot will be expected of the Spaniard, he may find that the fee plays less of a factor than it did for Angel Di Maria. The former Real Madrid man was arguably fighting a losing battle as soon as £59.7m was spent on him (via Sky Sports).
