A new set of stats from Sky Sports has proved that Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez is officially the most tireless player in the Premier League.
Having began his Arsenal adventure fresh off the back of a successful World Cup campaign, he then went on to make 52 appearances during his debut campaign before heading of to take part in this summer’s Copa America.
Now the Chilean is in line to feature for the Gunners this weekend having trained after the club’s 2-0 defeat to West Ham on the opening day.
Manager Arsene Wenger highlighted his concern about the player burning himself out too easily saying: “I am a bit worried about him coming back too quickly. But on the other hand I knew before the start that once he is here, he would be difficult to stop.”
But it’s easy to see why Wenger thinks he would be difficult to stop as he’s actually played the second-most outfield games in Europe’s top five leagues since 2013/14.
