Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Bayer Leverkusen forward, according to the BBC.
The 23-year-old has signed a five-year deal with Spurs – subject to international clearance, with the Daily Mirror claiming that the deal will cost Tottenham £22m (via Daily Mirror).
Spurs have already seen two bids for West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino rejected, with the Midlands side categorically denying that the 22-year-old is for sale.
And now having grown weary of the chase for the England under-21 international, Son’s arrival at White Heart Lane could signal the end of Mauricio Pochettino’s chase of Berahino during the current transfer window.
“I’m looking forward to going there and performing for the Spurs fans as soon as possible,” said Son, who will wear the number seven shirt for his new club. “Bold and daring – this is how I like to try to play.”
Son also has 11 goals in 44 appearances for South Korea, and bagged a goal against Algeria at last summer’s World Cup.
