Arsenal and Man United target Marco Reus being lined up for summer switch

The transfer window may have only just closed, but Real Madrid have already earmarked the man they want to be their main target next summer, according to the Daily Express.

The man in question is Borussia Dortmund playmaker and reported Arsenal and Manchester United target Marco Reus, the Express report.

The Red Devils had tried to sign the 26-year-old while arranging the deal that saw Adnan Januzaj move to the Westfalenstadion on a season-long loan, but failed to get a move across the line (via Express).

However, the Express suggest that Los Blancos are not planning to let this move slip through their fingers in the same manner that saw David de Gea end the transfer window at Old Trafford rather than back in the Spanish capital.

The Germany international is at a point in his career where he should be reaching his peak. And while Dortmund have made a promising start to the new Bundesliga season, their previous struggles may convince Reus that a move may be necessary, and may find the lure of the Bernabeu too difficult to turn down, leaving the Premier League pair to rue that they did not do more to bring him to England.
