Chelsea striker Diego Costa believes that all of the side’s problems will be forgotten should they go and beat Arsenal this weekend, the Daily
While the Blues emphatically defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-0 in midweek, their start to the new Premier League season is a major concern, with just one win coming in their first five games, but Costa thinks that their campaign will be well and truly off and running if they beat the Gunners (via Express).
“If we win then we’ll take a step forward in terms of confidence and points; we know about the importance of the game,” he said.
“We have to remain calm. We have enough quality to fix the situation,” he added.
How Jose Mourinho’s side fare at the weekend may well depend on whether the 26-year-old is able to get the better of the Arsenal defence.
Before his goal in midweek, Costa had just one strike to his name this season, and looked to be struggling to rediscover his ruthless form of the last campaign. However, the goal in the Champions League will provide the former Atletico Madrid man with the confidence to know that he can be the one to make a difference when Wenger’s men visit Stamford Bridge.
