Chelsea target Paul Pogba still wants to leave Juventus, but Blues face competition from Premier League rivals and El Clasico pair

Chelsea target Paul Pogba is set to be the subject of a January bidding war, after the Daily Star reported that the Frenchman wants to leave Juventus.

The Star report that the 22-year-old wants to use the next few months at Juventus Stadium to resolve an image rights issue, that is involving a former agent that is demanding £25m. The midfielder is prepared to go through the courts to reach an agreement, as the Star claim that it will make the player an even more attractive acquisition to any interested club.

The Blues seem to be the most likely side to prise him away from the Serie A champions, as the Star suggest that they were willing to break the British transfer record for Pogba – despite the off-field problems regarding his former representatives – but could not reach an agreement with the Old Lady before the summer deadline.

However, they will have to fight Manchester City, Barcelona, and Real Madrid for his signature (via Star).
