Legendary Juventus star Gianluigi Buffon eyes Premier League move before retiring

Iconic Italian international goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has apparently outlined his desire to test himself in the Premier League before hanging up his gloves, according to the Metro.

Speaking ahead of Juventus’ Champions League clash with Sevilla this week, the 37-year-old not only highlighted that the tournament is still one he is yet to win, but that he wants to test himself in the Premier League.

“I would have loved to have played in the Premier League,” he said.

“I have spent 10 years at Parma, 15 at Juventus and I think I still have around two and a half years left at the top. There still may be an opportunity.”

Despite his advanced years, the veteran stopper could still walk straight into any Premier League side and improve them on what they already have.

This revelation will no doubt prompt a raft of stories linking him with a new year move to England in the coming weeks.
