Initial talks led by FSG’s president Mike Gordon have been encouraging so far, The Guardian report, and he will work on persuading the German tactician to work with the club’s transfer committee.
It is believed that Klopp’s former assistants at Dortmund, Zeljko Buvac, and coach Peter Krawietz, would join him at Anfield (via Guardian) and their apparent arrivals would put the futures of Sean O’Driscoll and Gary McAllister in doubt, just months after they were brought in to replace Colin Pascoe and Mike Marsh.
Liverpool are yet to agree a compensation package with Rodgers, but The Guardian believe he will receive somewhere in the region of £7m.
