Man United eye move for Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi

Manchester United are said to be ready to go all out in order to sign Valencia centre-back Shkodran Mustafi, according to the Metro.

The 23-year-old has stepped up to become a key part of the Valencia defence after Nicolas Otamendi to Manchester City over the summer, and his subsequent performances have attracted interest from the likes of Bayern Munich.

However, despite Bayern’s reported interest, sources in Spain have claimed that United will step up their efforts to bring him to the club.

The Metro states that the Germany international is valued at £22m.

Mustafi does have some minor experience of English football having been on Everton’s books between 2009 and 2012, but only made a handful of appearances during his time on Merseyside.
