Ouch! PSG star says he rejected Man United move because he wants to win the Champions League

Paris Saint Germain star Lucas Moura has revealed that he turned down the chance to join Manchester United this summer because he thought he’d have a better chance at lifting the Champions League by staying in the French capital, according to the Metro.

The Brazilian winger had been a target for the Red Devils earlier in his career, but re-emerged on their radar during the summer transfer window, however, a report on talkSPORT reveals that he had no interest in heading to Old Trafford.

Not only does he enjoy the lifestyle afforded to him in Paris, he felt that he has a greater chance of lifting the Champions League trophy with the club, which is something that looks to be slightly out of United’s reach at the moment.

“I love being in Paris,” Moura said. “I want to make history. I feel that I can win the Champions League with PSG. But it is not only the club, but also life in Paris which is fantastic. That’s why I want to stay here long.”
