Antonio Conte expected to sign Chelsea contract soon

Antonio Conte is expected to sign a three-year deal to take over as Chelsea manager within the next 10 days, according to Sky in Italy, and as reported by Sky Sports.

The current Italian national team and former Juventus boss has been linked to the Blues for awhile, together with current Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri and Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone, among others.

Simeone was reportedly close to agreeing a deal with Chelsea, while Allegri is set to sign a new deal with the Serie A champions. But now, it seems Conte is close to signing a three-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Conte is out of contract in the summer and has impressed Chelsea during several discussions in the past month.

The 46-year-old is now hoping to be offered a contract in the next 10 days, after positive talks between his representatives and the Premier League club took place on Thursday. He is reportedly keen to return to club management after taking over the national team in 2014.

Conte won three consecutive Serie A titles with Juventus, also coaching Arezzo, Bari, Atalanta and Siena, before joining the Old Lady in 2011.
