Arsenal and Chelsea are active on the transfer market

Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked with a number of transfer rumours this season, and it looks like both Premier League giants are not done being active on the market.

The Blues are considering a move for Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann, but could be put off by the £20 million asking price. Meanwhile, they are fearing John Stones will join Manchester City, according to The Daily Mail.

Next, Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are all monitoring Sergio Busquets’ contract situation at Barcelona. The midfielder has asked his current club to present him with a firm proposal, according to Spanish outlet Marca and as reported by Goal.com. If not, he could decide to leave the Blaugrana.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gonzalo Higuain will not renew his contract at Napoli this summer, with the Blues and Paris Saint-Germain set to move for the striker in a £77 million transfer race.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Chelsea want to sign 16-year-old Barcelona striker Abel Ruiz. The youngster is yet to sign a professional contract and the Catalans fear he could follow Cesc Fabregas and Hector Bellerin to England, according to The Daily Mirror.

The Gunners are also stepping up their scouting of Ajax midfielder Riechedly Bazoer. They are represented at nearly all of the matches the 19-year-old dubbed ‘the Dutch Vieira’ plays in, according to The Sunday People.

Last but not least, according to The Independent, Arsenal have put Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain up for sale this summer due to a lack of progress during his time at the Etihad.
