Earlier on Monday, reports claimed that Chelsea’s on-loan striker Radamel Falcao was hoping to complete a shock return to his previous club Atletico Madrid.

However, Spanish football expert Guillem Balague had since then rejected the report and had claimed that the player won’t be moving to Atletico Madrid or Valencia.
He also added that Chelsea and the player’s agent were looking for other options.

The 29-year old is currently nursing his injury and hasn’t featured for the Blues since October 31. He has scored only one league goal in nine league appearances for the West London club since his move in summer.
He spent two seasons at Atletico Madrid before his move to Monaco in 2013, and he is fondly remembered by the Atletico fans. He also played a major part in the club’s 2011-12 Europe League title success.
