Manchester City won their first trophy of the season by beating Liverpool on penalty kicks during the final of the Capital One League Cup at Wembley.
Vincent Kompany celebrated the Citizen’s triumph with his team-mates, but only after he had comforted the players of the Reds, a “great gesture” that was welcomed on Twitter.
