Jose Mourinho to take over at Manchester United, claims former Premier League manager

Louis Van Gaal’s second year in charge at Manchester United hasn’t quite panned out as well as he would have hoped.

After finishing fourth in the league last season, the Red Devils have gone backwards this season and are struggling in fifth position in the league table, six points behind cross-town rivals Manchester City. United’s Champions League campaign was also ended in a disaster as they bowed out in the group stages of the competition.

The discontent among the United fans against the Dutchman is at an all-time high, and a huge number of fans want him gone in the summer.

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is one of the leading candidates to replace Van Gaal and ge has been linked to the Manchester United job for quite some time now.

Various media outlets have claimed that the Portuguese manager will be taking over the job at Old Trafford in the summer. Now, a former Premier League manager has stirred up the rumours claiming that Mourinho has already agreed on a move to Old Trafford.

Former Tottenham and QPR manager Harry Redknapp has claimed that Mourinho to United is a done deal.

He told American radio station, Sirius XM, as reported by The Daily Mail:

“It hasn’t worked out at all for Louis van Gaal at Manchester United. It’s been a disaster for him. No doubt about that.

“From the people I know who are in the know, it seems Jose Mourinho to United is a done deal.”
