Tottenham, Louis van Gaal and Jurgen Klopp register some remarkable stats

The Premier League has seen a total of 27 matchdays so far, while the Capital One League Cup has a winner. Time to look at some remarkable stats, which involve Tottenham, Louis van Gaal and Jurgen Klopp.

The Spurs are fighting for their first English top flight title since 1961, and they are down just two points from Premier League leaders Leicester City after beating Swansea 2-1 during the weekend.

Now, Tottenham have won their last six league matches and they are aiming to win a seventh one when they pay a visit to West Ham on Wednesday, a feat they haven’t done since May 1967.

Next up, a positive note about Louis van Gaal. The Dutch manager has been on the hot seat at Manchester United for awhile now, with José Mourinho rumoured to be his successor at Old Trafford.

But van Gaal has done some great work with the Red Devils when talking about providing playing opportunities for youngsters. Namely, he has handed 23 players their Premier League debut as United manager, with one of his latest ones being Jordan Rashford, who scored twice against Arsenal.

Last one, a negative note about Jurgen Klopp. Liverpool lost the League Cup final against Manchester City on penalty kicks, after the game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes. As a result, the German manager lost a cup final for four consecutive seasons, despite the Reds winning their previous five cup final penalty shootouts.
