Latest rumours have linked former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho with the job at Emirates Stadium.
Following reports from Spain earlier this week, journalist Duncan Castles has now claimed that the Gunners have approached the Portuguese manager via a third party to replace Arsene Wenger at the club.
He writes for One World Sports: “Jose Mourinho is considering an approach to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
“Mourinho was approached by a third party claiming to represent Arsenal at the beginning of this month, following successive losses to severely understrength Manchester United and Swansea City sides.
“The former Chelsea manager was asked if he would be interested in working at Arsenal should Wenger’s position be made vacant, and to hold off on making a decision on other offers until May.”
It’s no secret that Arsenal fans have never liked Mourinho, so the news was understandably divisive for the Gooners.
What sort of sweet mary jane would you have to smoke to actually think that Mourinho could ever manage Arsenal. Honestly.

Arsenal fans who wouldn’t take Mourinho are mad.
I can’t stick the bloke but he’d win trophies and erase the “4th place” mentality.— Steve Chapman (@stevechapman91) March 22, 2016
Mourinho represents everything Arsenal the club, what it stands for doesn’t represent.

Mourinho would be a disaster at Arsenal. He was well and truly found out last season. Not just that, his behaviour was disgraceful.
