Arsenal legend claims star striker wants to come to the club

What a signing this could be for Arsenal! Earlier this week, we reported that Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic prefers a move to the London club in the summer.

Now that story has a seal of approval from Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. The Sky Sports pundit has claimed that the Swedish striker wants to come to Emirates Stadium. Henry also suggested that the Gunners should sign Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante in the summer transfer window.

“I hear that Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants to come,” he told Soccer AM, via Metro. “I think a lot will depend on if we finish in the top four, are we going to make the Champions League and attract that sort of player?

“You know that Zlatan can do a job, and N’Golo Kante can do a job for us – I’m sure Leicester fans will be upset with what I said. But those are the kind of guys that we know about that we must try and get.”

The 34-year old striker’s current deal at the Paris club expires in the summer, and he will be a free agent in the summer. He has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United reportedly interested in his services.

Meanwhile, Kante arrived at King Power Stadium from French club Caen for a transfer fee reported to be around £6.2 million in the summer.

The 24-year old has been an ever-present commanding presence in the Foxes’ midfield this season and has helped them to the summit of the Premier League table.
