Jose Mourinho plans to make three key signings at Manchester United

Jose Mourinho looks all set to replace Louis Van Gaal at Old Trafford next season, if the recent media speculation is to be believed.

According to Italian source Gianluca Di Marzio, the Portuguese manager has already started scouting for his potential transfer signings at Manchester United.

The report claims that Mourinho plans to reinforce three key positions in the Red Devils’ squad. The former Chelsea manager is said to be scouting all the major European clubs in search of a midfielder, a central defender and an efficient striker for his future destination.

The report also speculates on the contract situation between United and Mourinho. It claims that a contract is yet to be signed between the two parties, but both have agreed to a ‘gentleman’s agreement’.

Meanwhile, United are also waiting for a response from Atletico Madrid sporting director Andrea Berta. The club has approached Berta for a role at Old Trafford, and they are expecting a response from him by Easter.

The Italian website rates the likelihood of Berta joining Manchester United at 60%.
