Paris Saint-Germain star Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to move to Premier League in the summer. The 34-year-old’s contract with the Ligue 1 club expires during the summer and he has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.
However, things are not as straightforward as the Telegraph claims that Swedish international’s future is linked with those of Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to the report, the Paris club will only allow Ibrahimovic to leave if they manage to sign a world-class replacement in the summer.
Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo tops the wish list of PSG, and any possible deal for the Portuguese star will depend on Eden Hazard’s potential move to Santiago Bernabeu. On the other hand, PSG might decide to pursue their interest in Hazard instead.
The report also claims that Ibrahimovic would himself like to sign a contract extension with the Paris club as his family is well settled in the city. But if he decides to move to Premier League, Arsenal would be his preferred choice as his next destination.
Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic’s agent Mino Raiola has claimed that his client has already decided where he wants to play next season.
“We know what we want, but we will not say anything until the summer when the season is over,” Raiola told Swedish newspaper Expressen.
“But we are clear now what we want to happen.”
