Manchester United got word of another good reason to sack Louis Van Gaal

Manchester United’s coaching situation is starting become one big mess, with a lot of drama.

On Thursday, reputed Spanish journalist Guillem Balague gave his opinion on the current managerial situation at the Manchester club. According to the Sky man, Mourinho is confident of landing the job at Old Trafford.

However, at the same time, Louis Van Gaal, who is under contract until 2017, is positive that he will see out his contract with the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, United insist that no decision has been made on the former Chelsea manager’s move to the club, and according to Balague, there is also a possibility that Mourinho could re-join La Liga giants Real Madrid.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the Red Devils should have received the word of a good reason to appoint the man who was sacked by Chelsea in December.

Their report states that Zlatan Ibrahimovic would not entertain joining United this summer if Van Gaal remains in charge, after disagreeing with the Dutchman during his time with Eredivisie giants Ajax.

The Swede star described Van Gaal as “a pompous ass” in his book ‘I am Zlatan’, while it’s no secret Ibrahimovic enjoyed working with Mourinho at Inter.

Still, United are far from certain of reaching the Champions League next season, as they are battling Manchester City for that notorious fourth spot in the Premier League standings.

If they fail to make it to Europe’s biggest stage, the Red Devils might have a problem luring Ibrahimovic in. “Zlatan’s sole priority at this moment is to end the season well,” his agent Mino Raiola told RMC Sport (via The Independent).

“Zlatan knows what he wants to do. He wants to play in the final of the Champions League, and if possible to win it. He doesn’t need to continue for financial reasons, he wants to prove himself at the highest level.”
