Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was forced off with an injury during the 1-1 Europa League draw with Borussia Dortmund on Thursday night.
Now, it has emerged that the England international has injured the lateral collateral ligament in his left knee.
Henderson will miss six to eight weeks with his latest injury and this means that his season is effectively over and his participation in this summer’s European Championships is also in doubt.

Devastated for Jordan Henderson. Forget the impact for #LFC or #England – there’s a player who will be crestfallen from this news. GWS.
