West Ham have endured a stellar season according to their standards. The Hammers are fighting Manchester United for fifth place in the Premier League, the last European place in the English top flight.
No doubt the club want to repeat their perfomance next season and therefore they are looking to strengthen their squad. According to The Sun (via Daily Star), Watford’s Odion Ighalo is on West Ham’s radar as the Hammers line up a move for a new striker in the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old Nigerian has scored 15 goals for the Hornets this season and is said to be valued at around £15 million.
However, the Hammers have also joined Liverpool and Tottenham in the battle to sign Crystal Palace forward Yannick Bolasie this summer, according to The Brentwood Gazzette (via Daily Express).
The 26-year-old from DR Congo has provided four goals and three assists in 20 league appearances for the Eagles. It is claimed Bolasie will cost around £15 million.
Meanwhile, The Daily Express claims West Ham are set to launch a £20 million bid for Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure. The Ivorian is set to leave the Citizens in the summer, with Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich also interested in signing the 32-year-old midfielder.
