The Times ran a story on Friday, stating that Arsenal are ready to offer Arsene Wenger a two-year contract extension despite supporters being divided over whether the Frenchman should remain in charge at the Emirates Stadium.
Not surprisingly, Gunners’ fans took their frustration to Twitter…

If Wenger gets a new deal then I fully believe Arsenal is now a parody of Arsenal.

A new contract for Wenger would tell you all you need to know about the power struggle at Arsenal.
An impotent CEO. Bad news for AFC.

Not sure if I can blame Wenger but surely he must think to himself if there’s something with the training. It’s beyond just bad luck.

However, there might be hope, as the Frenchman completely denied the rumours during his press conference ahead of Arsenal’s encounter with Aston Villa on Sunday:
Wenger on 2 year extension story – “That’s completely wrong, don’t know where it comes from. It’s an invention. Completely false”.

Meanwhile, not all Arsenal fans seem to dislike Wenger:
Remember when Arsenal fans wanted Martinez to replace Wenger?
Be careful what you wish for

I will support whoever the manager is.
At the moment it’s Wenger, so he gets my support!
Not difficult with all he’s achieved…#Arsenal
