Chelsea are primed for a squad overhaul during the upcoming summer transfer window, due to a very poor Premier League season and incoming coach Antonio Conte.
According to a report in the Daily Express, Juventus are set to complete a £20 million deal to bring Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic to Turin. The Serie A champions have been hunting for midfield reinforcements, and have had a long-time interest in the 27-year-old Serbian.
The Blues will need to replace Matic, who made 40 appearances in all competitions for them this season, and have identified Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante as their primary target.
Chelsea are ready to activate Kante’s £20 million release clause at Leicester City, according to Le Parisien (via Goal), with Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal also interested in the midfielder.
The Blues are also interested in signing Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater after his impressive season at the heart of the Foxes midfield, with Liverpool also in the hunt for the 26-year-old, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Daily Star).
