Chelsea have been linked with a couple of strikers from Serie A, according to the latest reports.
Daily Mail claims that incoming manager Antonio Conte wants the club sign Napoli frontman Gonzalo Higuain. The report states that the Argentine star is eager to move to Stamford Bridge, but wants assurances about his place in the starting eleven.
Diego Costa is the current number one striker at the West London club, but Higuain’s arrival could result in the departure of the Spain international.
Higuain, who has scored record-breaking 32 league goals this season, is valued at £42 million by the Naples club.
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Juventus forward Simone Zaza. Italian publication Tuttosport claims that the Blues are considering a £20 million bid for the 24-year-old.
Zaza, who arrived at the Turin club from Sassuolo in 2015, has failed to feature on a regular basis for Old Lady this season.
He is behind the likes of Paulo Dybala, Alvaro Morata and Mario Mandzukic in the pecking order at the Serie A champions and is interested in a move to the West London club. Premier League champions Leicester City are also interested in the Italy international.
