Leicester to replace Jamie Vardy by record bid for “Spanish Jamie Vardy”

Leicester City were crowned Premier League champions after an amazing season, beating all big English clubs by a mile and winning their first ever league title.

Meanwhile, the Foxes are in danger of losing a couple of their star players. Just think about the likes of Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, and N’Golo Kante, with a number of big clubs interested in their services.

However, there are also other clubs that want a piece of Leicester’s best players. According to The Daily Mail, West Ham are set to make an audacious £20 million bid for Vardy as they continue their search for a marquee striker.

The Hammers are moving to the Olympic Stadium and have been linked with the likes of Michy Batshuayi, Mauro Icardi, Christian Benteke, Simone Zaza, and Alexandre Lacazette. They’ve now added Vardy, who has scored 24 goals this season for the champions.

Meanwhile, Leicester City are ready to break their transfer record for Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez, who has scored 17 league goals this season including in a club-record seven successive games, according to The Guardian.

Perez has been dubbed the “Spanish Vardy”, as he played in the Ukraine and Greece for several years, before joining Deportivo permanently this summer after a loan spell at the club. Now, at the age of 27, Perez is making his name in La Liga.

The Foxes are willing to put more than the £9 million they spent on Croatian Andrej Kramaric on the table, their record signing from Rijeka in January last year. Kramaric is currently playing at German club Hoffenheim on loan.
