Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has long been linked with a summer exit from the club. He has been previously linked with a move to Inter Milan and now his agent has claimed that the talks with the Serie A club are ongoing.
Inter boss Roberto Mancini has talked of his liking of the Ivory Coast international and it seems like that he could reunite with his former Manchester City player at the Giuseppe Meazza in the summer.
Toure still has a year to run on his current deal, but it’s unlikely that he will feature in the plans of incoming manager Pep Guardiola. The midfielder’s agent, Dimitri Seluk, claimed that City are willing to sell him in the transfer window.
Seluk told calciomercato.it: “It’s true, we’re talking with Mancini. We’re looking for a solution with Manchester City, who want to sell Yaya Toure only up front, not on loan.
“I can’t say if there are other teams interested. He has a contract, but nothing special. Inter? It’s a good club.”
Guardiola allowed Toure to leave Barcelona when he was appointed the manager of the Catalan club in 2010. The 33-year-old moved to Etihad Stadium in a £24 million move to play under Roberto Mancini.
He has spent last six season with City and has won two Premier League titles and one FA Cup with the club.
