The arrival of Jose Mourinho at Manchester United could mean the departure of several players, with Juan Mata being one of them, according to Mundo Deportivo (via Goal).
The Spaniard left Chelsea during the winter transfer market of 2014 for £33.6 million, as Mourinho was unwilling to play the 28-year-old on a consistent basis.
With the Portuguese joining the Old Trafford club, Mata is primed to leave United again and Barcelona are reportedly ready to swoop in for the Spaniard. The La Liga champions have reportedly been in talks with Mata twice in the past, but circumstances made it difficult for a deal to be pushed though. This time, things might be different.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are expected to sell Mario Balotelli and the Italian striker has a couple of potential suitors, according to a report by The Daily Express.
The 25-year-old played on loan at AC Milan, but he enjoyed a difficult season due to injuries and the Rossoneri are not expected to make the deal permanent. However, Serie A rivals Lazio are ready to make a bid for Balotelli, who’s also been linked to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Lazio, like Juventus and Napoli, were also linked with Gianluca Lapadula, who scored a league leading 27 goals in Serie B for Pescara. If the Biancocelesti sign Balotelli, Leicester City are facing less competition for the 26-year-old.
