Manchester United have emerged as favourites to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer.
Ligue 1 champions PSG announced that the 34-year-old will be leaving the club once his contract expires in the summer. According to the Telegraph, the Red Devils are interested in signing the Swedish international and have held extensive talks with his agent Mino Raiola.
Ibrahimovic has supposedly asked for £300,000-a-week after tax wages, but according to the report, finances won’t prove to be a stumbling block in a potential move. These wages would see Ibrahimovic become the highest paid player in Premier League.
The Swede has also attracted interest from other Premier League clubs, with Arsenal and Chelsea also reportedly interested in the player.
The 34-year-old was also linked with a move to MLS side LA Galaxy. However, he doesn’t want to move to MLS yet as feels that he can still play in a top league for a couple of more seasons. Ibrahimovic has also reportedly turned down £1million-a-week offer from a Chinese club.
