Juventus to cross two huge Manchester United transfer plans

Manchester United are ready to once again spend heavily during the upcoming summer transfer window, in order to regain their best form in the Premier League and contend for the title.

The Red Devils have been linked with a number of star players, but they are not the only big club planning to put money on the table this summer.

In that regard, Serie A champions Juventus are ready to cross United regarding two of their biggest transfer plans.

According to various reports in Italy, including one from Corriere dello Sport (via Bleacher Report), The Old Lady have made contact with Real Madrid midfielder James over a possible summer move.

The Colombian is said to be frustrated by a lack of playing time in Spain and has picked Italy as his favourite destination, dealing a big blow to United’s interest. Los Blancos are expected to ask between £35 million and £40 million for his services.

Meanwhile, Juventus are also said to have made contact with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent to offer the Swede star a £5.5 million-per-year contract in Turin, according to Italian Sport Mediaset, via Goal.

Ibrahimovic is expected to leave Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain this summer and has been linked with a move to Manchester United, as Jose Mourinho’s appointment at Old Trafford is getting closer.

However, the Bianconeri are looking to add a star striker to get them over the hump in the Champions League and have also been heavily linked with United target Edinson Cavani.

Ibrahimovic played for Juventus between 2004 and 2006, scoring 26 goals in 92 appearances for the Turin club and leaving for Inter when they were relegated after the Calciopoli scandal.
