Everton are set for a squad overhaul as The Toffees disappointed this season, finishing in 11th place in the Premier League and sacking manager Roberto Martinez.
According to the Mail on Sunday, Everton remain interested in appointing Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager, following talks last week. The Argentine’s reign at Manchester City came to end due to the signing of Pep Guardiola and joins a list of potential managers with Ronald Koeman, Unai Emery, Frank de Boer and David Moyes.
However, The Toffees are not the only club interested in Pellegrini, as the 62-year-old is wanted by a number of clubs, including AC Milan.
Meanwhile, Everton are set to lose two of their most talented young stars. Jose Mourinho has made it clear to Manchester United that his top summer target is John Stones, after failing to sign the defender for Chelsea in 2015, according to a report by the Sunday Express.
However, Barcelona also want Stones and are preparing a £25 million offer for the Everton centre back, according to the Mail on Sunday.
In addition, Paris Saint-Germain are set to launch a bid to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku despite Chelsea being confident of bringing the Belgium international back to Stamford Bridge.
The Express say the Ligue 1 champions are the only threat to the Blues for Lukaku, despite Bayern and Manchester United known to be interested too, and are preparing a £60 million move for the 23-year-old to fill in for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will depart on a free transfer.
Lukaku has scored 61 goals in 121 appearances for Everton since his permanent transfer from Chelsea in the summer of 2014.
